Every year the Johnson County Community College (outside south of Kansas City) holds a Festival on Japan with lots of exhibitions and shows like origami workshops, concerts, sumo wrestling, etc...

Bike ride on a hot summer day
August 28th 2011 - Fiddling and Picking Championship
There is always something going on in Lawrence! In the summer it's usually in South Park right next to downtown. This Sunday was a Fiddling and Picking Championship - so Bluegrass, the fiddle and the violin were the thing that day!
There were a series of contests and concerts in between. The last concert was the Sunflower Colonels, a really good bluegrass band!

My work place
I work at the University of Kansas, in a pharmaceutical lab on West Campus. The building is called MRB for Multidisciplinary Research Building but also called Most Remote Building! since it's the farthest building from the main campus!
